ESAB All-State 20 Electrode - 5/32" Thickness, 14" Length, 10 lb Pack - Case of 4 (40 lbs total) - 69100041
This DC reverse electrode is used for welding aluminum bronze, manganese bronze, silicon bronze, bronze to steel and cast iron, and ferrous alloys. Deposits are strong, dense, ductile, crack free, have good resistance to corrosion, salt water, and many acids and alkalis. All-State No. 20 is also used as an overlay to provide a bearing surface and surfaces resistant to wear and corrosion. Procedure Preheat 350° - 600°F (177° - 316°C) to permit the use of lower welding amperages. Penetration can be kept to a minimum by maintaining a short arc and using a weave technique no more than five times the diameter of the electrode. Lower amperage can be used to weld the iron base alloys because of lower heat loss than the copper base alloys. Properties: | Typical Mechanical Properties | | | Tensile Strength | Up to 91 ksi, 63.99 kgs/mm2 | | Yield Strength | 43 ksi, 30.24 kgs/mm2 | | Elongation In 2" | 21-27 % | | Hardness | 120 to 137 Brinell, 3000 kg. load |
