Maintenance and production joining and repairing of steels, stainless steels, nickel and nickel base metals, copper and copper base alloys and high speed steels where high brazing temperatures would be harmful. Widely used in hospitals, laboratories, distilleries, refineries and delicate instrumentation work.
Procedure
Thoroughly clean joint area. Joint clearance should be .002" to .005". Apply All-State No. 110 or S-200 Flux to joint; if necessary, thin with alcohol or water. No flux is required when using TRUCOTE 155(flux coated) rod. When working on stainless steel and other materials subject to discoloration, paint area adjacent to joint with All-State No. 110 or S-200 Flux. Apply heat with a slightly carburizing flame until flux turns clear. Melt off enough alloy to fill completely. Allow to cool slowly. Remove flux with hot water.
