ESAB Dual Shield 88-C3 Wire - 5/64" - 60 lb Coil - 245005384
Dual Shield 88-C3 is a flux cored electrode developed to deposit weld metal with impact toughness as low as -40ºF(-40ºC). The weld metal meets high X-ray standards for soundness. The arc is stable and deeply penetrating. The thin cover of slag is easily removed, exposing flat to slightly convex weld beads. Horizontal fillet welds are slightly convex with equal leg lengths. Dual Shield 88-C3 wire is recommended for welding high strength steels in the 70-80 ksi (485-550 MPa) tensile range using 100% CO2 shielding gas. The weld metal analysis is similar to an E8018-C3 low Hydrogen electrode. Shielding Gas 100% CO2
Can also be used with 75% Ar / 25% CO2 -
