ESAB Arcaloy ER625 Welding Wire - .035" - 33 lb PSP - 256196015

Arcaloy ER625 is a Ni-Cr-Mo alloy designed for use for cladding iron and joining similar steels or dissimilar steels such as stainless and low alloy materials. The low iron content present in this product is advantageous to control dilution. The ER625 alloy provides maximum resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion.

Arcaloy ER625 is a solid wire and is for welding Inconel 625®, UNS N06625, and similar alloys for service at high and cryogenic temperatures. It is one of the filler metals suitable for the welding of stainless steels containing 4% or more molybdenum. It is used welding 9% Ni steels and for dissimilar joints between nickel alloys, stainless and low alloy steels. It can also be used for cladding steels.

Depending upon its form, Arcaloy ER625 can be used in the MIG, TIG or submerged arc processes to name the three most common. In the case of the MIG (GMAW), spray, pulse or short-arc modes of transfer are used depending on the gas used. With this process, shielding gases of argon possibly with helium and very small quantites of oxygen or carbon dioxide are used. For TIG (GTAW), 100% argon or argon with some helium additions are used. A flux, such as OK Flux 10.16, is used with the larger sizes of Arcaloy ER625 for submerged-arc welding.
